Any passenger side awnings for the GMC with short support arms? Arms that do NOT extend to the bottom of the coach?

What brand are you talking about?

Only way that can be achieved is to have multiple telescopic arm.
If you can stand to have one same as the driver side with short awning, it
is possible to do it that way.
It can be done, but manufactures feel they will not sell enough of that
style to get the cost back.
You can always get the one from Europe that has no arms.

The OmniStor awnings have thin arms that connect just above the beltline.
(At least that is where I put mine)

Money Pit came with some simple pull-down awnings.
While they won't cover the windows when the sun is
low, they will shield them during the worst of the
light and heat of the day. There is a pull-down
strap that loops over a hook on the body side to
hold them down. To retract, simply unhook the
strap and let the roller shades roll back up.

Elegantly simple. I think A&E or something such
as that is weritten on them.

I will probably have heat/light attenuating film
put on at least the windows where no shades are
installed (forward of access door and big rear
window). I did that on my 30' Cedar Creek travel
trailer and it did wonders in reducing the amount
of work the a/c has to do.

I bought one from JC Whitney. Easy to install & quite useful for rain protection.
