We are having to replace the awning on our 73 26ft. the old one
is just wornout, arms, springs and fabric.
Any recommendations or warnings on brands or styles ?

John:
We have Zip Dee on both sides of coach.
If installed and adjusted correctly they work great. They have an ad in FMC
mag.

Give me a fax # and I'll share my 8 month headache on awnings for '73 GMC
26' - it's like everything else you try to tell these dumbasses about GMC's
they know it all and do it their way (at your expense and inconvenience).

John,
For you own good, replace the Zip Dee with another Zip Dee! They fit,
they look good and they were the origional awning from GM. I have not
seen another awning thay looks & works as well on a GMC. Look around if
you like, look at the quality. Give me a call tomorrow and I'll give
you the # for Zip Dee to call and find a dealer in your area.
