Thank you for the advice on cleaning the fiberglas. I love my wife of 29 years with all of my heart, including her prissy-ness. I think she dislikes
it because it looks old and yellowed. If Mr. Clean doesn’t work, I may try painting it, since there’s no replacement module. Anyone have any
advice on how to restore it to like new?

Show her some new RV Class A motorhomes. Include the window sticker. Big
$$$$. Payments for several years. 14% interest, depreciation of 20% as soon
as you drive it off the lot. That old bath module will be much easier to
sell to her.
But, failing that, find some really good paint that is compatible with
the shower module, mask it off very carefully and make sure you super clean
the surfaces and have it dust free and very dry. Pick a light, bright
color, one that she likes. Do a good job. She should like it.

Absolutely hilarious. I will skip the shopping spree and opt for the second choice. If anyone has experience with restoring fiberglas shower, please

Another thought to make the shower more acceptable is natural light. Not sure how Avion fan/light is setup, but many have said a fantastic fan (and
its resultant brightening) make the bath better.

Installing a bigger and better light/vent fan is pretty easy. Standard 14" unit will fit. You might need to check before you cut anything, if there is
a pod or the roof rails might cause a problem with your proposed location. I installed a newer small fan in one of my Avion's bathroom. Measure twice,
cut once LOL.
There are commercial companies that will spray/recoat the bath interior. Senior moment is failing to bring the names from my aged brain. I had a bath
redone in a house that I sold. It really looked excellent when they got finished. Job in the Avion should only take 1/2 day.

The current fan is pitiful. I will definitely add a fan installation to my upgrade-todo list.

I have to think about a skylight, since space is so limited. Natural light would help make the space seem bigger and more comfortable.

I went online and found a post that showed how to clean and restore a fiberglass shower with borax and vinegar, which I plan to buy today or
tomorrow

The only thing I have done with shower modules is use them, but I can't begin to tell you how many yards of fiberglass I have cleaned and rejuvenated.
The surface is undoubtedly something call Gel-coat. This is just a color finish for the laminate. Its surface goes dark with age. So, go to a boat
store and see what they have to brighten up old fiberglass. Do not try to sand it, the Gelcoat is only 3~5 mills (0.003~5") thick.

If that doesn't work, I can be painted. The best paints are really expensive and difficult/dangerous to handle, but you don't need those. To bad you
can't actually buy a badger brush any more.

Thank you Dennis for the pics of the installed fan. It looks like it will move a lot of air. I will look at Jim’s fan but from what I hear about
coach smells, I think I’ll need the one that moves the most air ;)

Robert,

On the exterior of a boat, it will look good for 3 or 4 years. That is out in the sun. I suspect the shower maybe longer.

Hang around a while more, Dean writes here from time to time.
