There was recent discussion on adding supplemental heat to our coaches. I just
got back from a local pick&pull where I was
getting parts for my VW camper. My VW is air-cooled but I was picking apart a
water cooled Vanagon. Under the rear seat is an
auxillary heater. It consists of a small radiator with blower attached. All
self contained, 12vdc. Has a manual shut off. I invision
putting this unit in line with the hoses which come from the engine and go to
the bathroom water heater. Installation
should be easy. Bad part about these VW parts are they tend eventually leak and
are made out of unobtainium. If your lucky enough to find a non-leaking one in
the junkyard, if it ever breaks you may be searching for parts for a long time
or paying $$$ from VW dealer.
