I just installed my new(to me) vac pump. I'm not sure how the wiring
should go.

The pump has a red wire and a black wire and a 'black with white tracer'
wire. I figure the red should be 12v+ and the black should be grounded,
but I ain't got a notion what to do with the black with white tracer wire.

The vac switch that I cobbed along with the pump has a black wire and 2
brown wires coming from it. I imagine the black one grounds, and 12v+ to
one of the browns. The other brown, I suppose, feeds the red wire on the pump.

Please correct this if it's wrong and tell me what to do with the black
with white tracer wire.

This pump came out of a '82 Cimmeron if it makes any difference.

Thanks

I apologize for ya'll having to read this drivel. It's just too easy to
ask stupid questions before investigating it for myself. I found the
information in plain black and white at Eugene Fisher's excellent site.
