Next project, how do aux. tranny coolers tie into the cooler lines? Is it just
compression fittings? Do you still use the radiator cooler or bypass it all
together?

ps- still hoping to get some insight into dash a/c compressor (replacement
type?) How do you tie in an aux. evaporator? Parellel a/c lines from the
original evaporator?

Thanks

I made new lines, since I use an enormous AC condensor for a
cooler, so needed different fittings.

We run the original oil cooler in series, after the new. Not
a problem near here, but that way, if we are running in
extreme cold, the radiator water re-warms the tranny fluid
before returning to tranny.

Yes. I bought T-fittings at an AC supply house.

Eric,
Depends on the type and size of the aux cooler you get. The smaller ones
generally are in series with the radiator cooler with the fluid going
through the radiator cooler first. There are others that are meant to
replace the radiator coil. I have one installed. It is brand named "Tru
Cool" and has a thermostat built in that restricts flow below 175 degrees.
It connects with clamp on rubber hoses. The tranny is now running at about
200 degrees at 60 mph, pulling a Tracker and outside air temperature of 95
degrees.
