Hey Guys

This looked like a great idea and would probably fit. But

Gary,
Ken Rose in Texas used to sell an electric step for the GMC.
Considerably cheaper.

Dang, for that price you can have the Quadrabag system. Get a Ragusa.

I thought the same thing. For the price, you could spend it
on the quad air bags and go for the Ragusa fold out. These
people are mighty proud of their step. I worked on electric
steps on SOB's back in the 70' that were only about $300.
I'll stick with what I've got.

$1601.51 in the year 2007 has the same "purchase power" as $300 in the year 1970.

Looks like fun. I'm wondering if they have, or can make, a version the width
of a GMC entry door. I'll drop them an inquiry.

There have be several automatic step that have been available in the
past both electric which I have on the Avion and Vacuum powered.
which a friend of mine has on his coach. These steps sold new for
under $400 not that long ago. The Vacuum power step is very simple
and he is planning to product and sell them this summer if he can
find the correct actuator. I will let him know that people are
interrested. Pricing will be alot less than the commercial step.

John,

If you will look at any of the PDF spec sheets, you'll see
that the step is extruded aluminum. It looks as if it could
be easily cut down to the size needed for a GMC.

Hardie: We down here in Appalachia were buying gas at 19 to 23 cents a
gallon in '69. That $300 step was the equivalent of 1200 to 1500 gallons of
fuel. Today, that will cost you either 3600 or 4500 dollars. So, maybe that
step is a bigger bargain than any of us could believe until we convert it to
a petro based rate of exchange instead of cpi or gdp. And, let's face it,
pbe is real, not calculated; and, most of us face it everyday.

Jesse;
When dollars were real and gold was $30.00 an ounce, gas was @ 20 cents a gallon. When dollars were no longer related to gold and since the printing press's went into high gear we have come to $1000 and ounce gold. That $300 step could be considered $10,000 value in either ABCP, (asset backed commercial paper), or dollars.
