Well crap, on our first camping outing here in a state park near KC and woke up this morning to hear a little scurry in one of the overhead cabinets
followed by a object running down to drapes to dissapear somewhere around the dinette seats. Checked the overhead caninets shere we keep the bread and
chips. It made a mess of the brand new loaf of bread and nibbled on a buffalo tortilla chip but might have been too hot for himlol. Anyhow, not found
with camping with mice. We're planning on getting more traps when we go to town. Also thinking of sonic repellants also, but seeming to be mix reviews
with them. See where we store the motorhome is next to a corn field so I'm not real confident of keeping them out there, but when we bring the coach
back to the house a fee days before the trip for staging is when I hope to get rid of them. I was hoping that driving it around would freak them out
and they would scurry away at the first stop light, but it seems they're just content on hunkering down and partying later at the campsite. First time
for this in all the times we've camped these past years. Just looking for ideas to kid rid of them in the few days we have it at our house as we stage
up.

There is a victor electronic mouse repeller that seems to have worked for me.

However always have a few traps places to make sure they are working. And when coach is not plugged in.

I like these:

Rat Zapper to the rescue! About $25 and up
And the various copies, as well.
The rat zapper has an optional "rat tale" indicator with a 12 ft cord so
you can stuff the zapper in amongst the "stuff" and out of sight, and
still know when it's been tripped. They either kill immediately, or not
at all. No cripples, no mess (unless
you leave it long enough for decomposition to begin).

Rat Zapper http://www.ratzapper.org/ Available from amazon, ebay, several
other places including some Ace Hardware and some farm supply stores.
About $40 and up depending on where you buy it. Options include a "rat
tale" remote trip indicator. Do be sure to check for dead mouse in the
box every day or two.
Decomposing mouse makes a mess inside, and is really difficult to clean
up. some folks use peanut butter as bait. I use a couple of m&m candies,
less mess when baiting than peanut butter. Both seem to work.

I've had better luck with the Rat Zapper Classic than with the Ultra.
The Ultra quit working after a few months.
The Classic worked better for me than any of the others I have tried.
The Ultra died after only a few months, and the Hoont and the Victor
worked a couple of times, but don't always kill the mice. The indicators
were flashing, and the bait
was gone, but the wee mousie was gone, too. Sometimes the indicator
wasn't blinking, and the bait was gone.

Thanks Jon, went and got those kind of mouse traps this morning. Already had a couple in the motorhome but the Orkin site said the more set the better
chances. Something tells me this little guy is smarter than the typical mouse but I might be having a bit of the Caddy Shake syndrome here LOL.

Thanks again!

I think the best use of time is to find the source of entry!

I did some rewiring last spring and had issues with mice afterwards... It amazed me how easily (and quickly!) they could get in. But I found later that I had dislodged a rubber grommet in the dash - up high, behind the glove box.

I filled the hole with some steel wool and pushed the grommet back in. Seems OK now - but the proof will be this season...
