Arch:
I looked at the photos of the booster installation this morning.

Doesn't look easy.

I am curious about your feelings in regards to the changes
because I have been told that the sensitized booster does
not provide additional boost just provides it sooner/easier.
The maximum boost is supposedly limited by the diameter
of the diaphram and the vacumn provided.

Do the changes you made most recently seem to create more
braking for you or does it simply seem to make it easier to get
the braking you already had?

If you feel you have more total braking what do you think was
most responsible for your the recent improvements. The booster?
Replacement of a proportioning Valve that might have been bad?
The master cylinder?

Have you replaced the front rubber hoses? If not do it.
fluid should dribble out of the bleeders when open even
with no pedal pressure.

Here is what I think I know. My first round with the brakes
included
replacing the rusted lines 80 MM up front 1 1/16 on front
bogie and
new master cylinder. The only things I did not replace were
the
combination
valve and the booster. I was not impressed with what I got
for all of
the work. When trying to bleed the brakes I noticed that I
had to push
very hard (almost with both feet) to get any fluid to come
out of the
front
brakes. Driving it also felt like I was braking with just
the rear
brakes.
