In 16 years of GMC ownership. We've never had a GMC that had a wet bath. But was talking to another GMC owner tonight that all this is new to them now. His wife has some concerns about a wet bath. Wouldn't Rain X help with all the water? Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale

I have a 1977 Eleganza with a wet bath. The Fantastic Fan in the bath module’s ceiling running in exhaust mode combined with a slightly open under-counter hatch door to provide supply air results in a stone-dry bathroom in a very short amount of time. Have not seen a need for RainX.

---- RAIN-X comes with some warnings, use on the glass, do not get RAIN-X on the paint.

If RAIN-X will damage the paint, I'm pretty sure that soft plastic wet bath wall will be destroyed.

why not try plasti dip. If you don't like it you can peel it off.

I just had a moment.............

I recall something you buy at the grocery store that after you shower, with the walls wet, you spray this product on the tile and the water runs down
the wall, no streaks. I am guessing this is what the question is about???

I don't recall the name of the product but it will be in the scrubbing bubbles isle as I recall.

Not sure how well it will perform on plastic walls but it shouldn't hurt them.

Wet and Forget is the brand I know of. They make different products for outdoors and shower stalls. Has a light vanilla scent that I did not care for
personally. I used it when I was getting ready to sell my old house. After cleaning the shower thoughly, it sprayed it after use to help keep it that
way. Seemed to help.

Well, I didn't know THIS product was out there.

It IS RAINX for the GLASS SHOWER DOORS. I have never used it so I don't know if it can be used on the plastic walls.

The walls in a GM wet bath are fiberglass, as least the 78 Palm Beach were. The dry bath in our GM interior rear twin is plastic.

You need to remember that "fiberglass" is actually glass fiber reinforced plastic!
I would never apply it to "fiberglass" or other plastic. I'm not sure, but I believe a primary ingredient in Rain-X MAY be ether! It sure smells like ether!

I'm thinking maybe the Lucas Slick Mist fast and easy Speed Wax might work well inside the wet bath. I'm going to try it. That said we have never
been reluctant to use our wet bath. Even with the stock little vent fan, it dries out pretty quickly, especially here in the Southwest where the
humidity is usually in single digits.
