Antifreeze

Emery Stora gave a most enlightening talk at the
Albuquerque Rally concerning cooling systems. A
question I forgot to ask him is; do the newer
antifreezes designed for aluminum components (Prestone,
etc) create any problems in the old radiators??? How
about a newly recored radiator??? Every now and then I
come across statements to the effect that we should use
a non silicone antifreeze in our old girls.. What are
"they" talking about??
