Antennas - Alarm for Theft

What is an "alarm for theft" antenna? That's new to me, and sounds
interesting.

I have a transmitter and two receivers. The transmitter has a nuber of little
waffers that get put in various locations of the coach, e.g., next to the
window on the curtain, door etc. These wafers are both motion/noise
detectors. If somebody tries to break in and move the coach even the
slightest, (Must be greater than the wind) the transmitter sends an audible
signal to one or both of the receivers if you have them turned on. It is also
a pager. In fact the system is called "Page Alert". When one of us goes off
somewhere and one stays at the coach, one can also page the other one. It
works fine. The antenna is mounted near the center of the coach on the drivers
side out of the way. Antenna is easily put on and or taken off by simply
screwing it on like a lid to a jar. I once had the alarm go off and went to
see what was going on. Some people were trying to look into the coach. I had
the dark window treatment too and if you do not have enough interior light it
is impossible to see in. They were really surprised when I walked up and asked
if I could be of any help. They saw the inside and were happy. I think they
decided they wanted a GMC right then and there. Chuck

They may be well out of business now. It was late 70's early 80's when the unit was installed
on the 78 El;eganza. I will look through th pages of paper work to see if I can locate

I also have the "Page Alert " security device on my GMC motorhome. It was installed by a
previous owner, so I can't tell you the cost. Mine is connected to my am/fm antenna. It seems
to work fine. Because I have it, my insurance premium was reduced by RV Alliance America.
The manual I have identifies the company as: Page Alert Systems, Inc.
