Adam,
Start with a long piece (like 10' - it is unlikely that any of the runs will be longer than that) of dimensional lumber and two saw horses for your
comfort. 2x4 will work, but more is better.
Saw a notch just a little bigger than the tubing (3/8s in this case) and clamp it to one end of your new very narrow bench.
=> Now you have a straightening bench as instrument fitters call this.
Hand work the tail of the coil until you can get it under the block and then unroll the coil along the bench until you have a bit more than you think
you want.
Cut the tubing and pull it out through the notched block.
As you pull it out, bent areas will be real obvious and all you have to do is give the tubing a little tug in the obvious direction to fix that.
This real fast and is easy to work and the total cost is real close to squat. How straight you make it is just how long you can take to make it
straight.
Just remember to plan carefully and make up the longest pieces first to you can reuse them in the shorter places....... (BTDT)
