Another challenge to the tranny crowd

I'm going to install the Perma-Cool Maxi Tranny Cooler this week.

As I don't have the luxury of feeding it back to the radiator for warming up
I'm trying to find a temperature control. Perma-Cool has one, but it
bypasses until 198 degrees are reached and then closes to let fluid go the
cooler way. Actually 10% always goes through cooler, the other 90% is
regulated.

Anyways... 190some degrees seems high, unless the tranny fluid does exit the
tranny that hot in normal use, i.e. flat stuff driving.

If someone out there can confirm temps between tranny-out and cooler-in I
could bypass the step of measuring temps first on next trip.

I, as most, only have tranny pan temps available at the moment.

TIA - Heinz

I have not got my summit catalog here but believe they sell an adjustable one.

Only one I could find on the website (summit) is the fixed one.
The sales guy didn't know of any adjustable, but that probably doesn't mean
anything :-)

If anyone has a catalog and could check it would be much appreciated as I
won't have a catalog until wednesday and by then it's late for ordering to
receive prior to weekend.
