In good fun and without malice intended I had named my new Engine Monitor
'Silicone Kate'.

While I've had no infuencing forces hit me over the head with the proverbial
2x4, my choice of name kept nagging at me as not being quite right and
sooner or later I would feel that 2x4.

As the voice used in the AV-10 is indeed very much real, I.e. not built out
of silicone, I'm going to make the assumption that the voice's real owner is
equally real, hence 'Silicone Kate' is gone.
It'll simply be "Kate" as in "Kate says the water temperature is high".

I'm going back to work on my GMC now... trip time is getting close. Actually
I'm probably going to chase all over town today... Kate need a Vehicle Speed
Sensor.

As I keep digging the hole deeper and deeper I'll keep the bandages handy...

Heinz:
Have you located a VSS yet??
I was wondering if the one I got for my new Audiovox cruise control would
work in your situation?? It uses a speed pick-up unit (250-4153) that has a
short cable end that installs at the transmission, followed by the original
cruise control/speedometer cable, to sense speed.
