Hello,
We heard at Las Vegas that the proper Alcoa wheel centers on the hub,
not on the lug nuts, as alot of the dually wheels do. One of my fellow
GMCers has Keystone/Appliance 16X6 dually wheels on his GMC and is
experiencing trouble with the lug holes elongating in the direction of
wheel travel. Understandably, he is getting very concerned. His wheels
do not center on the hub but use a lug nut with which acts as a sleeve
to center the wheel. Question is, has anyone made the rings to adapt the
dually wheels' larger hub cutout to the smaller GMC centering hub?. In
his case we have a 4 1/2 inch GMC hub with a 5 inch hole in the center
of the wheel. Any info would be appreciated. Apparently, this
continues to be a problem when dually wheels are run that don't center
on the hub of the GMC like the proper Alcoas.

Phil:

Although I didn't attend the Vegas Rally, I heard that a coach owner
from CA who attended was running an Alcoa Ford dually wheel on the front
and used an adapter.

Do you know who that individual is? I know someone who would like to
talk to him about his wheel experiences.
