Guys,

Some time ago I removed the ladder and roof rail from my coach in order to
straighten some sections which had been damaged. Now I am in the process of
re-installing it. Do the brackets mount directly to the roof or is there
supposed to be a gasket material to protect the paint? There was some old dried
up putty around mine but no gasket material.

Richard

That sounds like a good idea; I'll do it, too.

Do you get the gasket material at an auto parts store?

Richard

Thanks for the tip on butyl tape, Emery. Sounds like it would be easy to apply
and trim.

For those of us just reading the mail, and who don't want to impose on
your generosity... Was the material a national brand and was the
hardware store a national chain of stores. WHat do they call it gasket
material?

Thanks for the kind offer, Manny, but I looked at a Checker Auto following your
post and found some there.
