Jean-Pierre,

Are you still going to the Ottawa Rally in May? Who made the rims on
your coach now? Are they steel or aluminum? The Alcoas are available a lot
cheaper than someone quoted you in Quebec. I can give you the details off
the GMCNet if you want.

I too sit here and read about XPS problems and have 20,000 miles on a
set and know others using them and no problems reported by anyone. I plan to
put XPSs on again.

Hi Jean

You should check your wheels for:
- - rust damage
- - maximum pressure must be greater than 80psi
- - are they still round, wheels with runout are nearly impossible to balance
- - are they marked RADIAL (maybe an R in a circle)
- - does the center hole of the wheel fit tightly on the hub
If they fail any of the above you should consider replacing them with Alcoa wheels. If they do not
marked RADIAL or R in a circle they are not safe for radial tires. Wheels inflated to 80psi need
steel valve stems not the rubber ones.

Alcoa wheels are listed at
http://www.web-access.net/~bmassey/AlcoaWheelDeal.html

UPS charges $22 each for shipping or $36 per pair if you strap 2 boxes together. Total cost for 6
wheels is $1625 delivered to Calgary. UPS charges $20US to prepare the customs documents. Verify
these shipping and customs prices with UPS before ordering. Call Revenue Canada to verify the duty
rate. There should be no duty only GST and PST.

If you intend to rotate your tires you should probably get 7 wheels, you may be tempted to believe a
tire that has not been used is still good after 6 or 7 years. Michelin says replace them if they
are older than 6-7 years no matter how good they look.
