The GMCnet folks were awesome.....They were all over the place and made the
Rally work.

I am sorry I do not know all the names, but I will say a few and I hope
they all write a report when they get home.

Mr.C was the main man and did extensive organizational work getting the
arrangements set up. Everything from facilities, food, tours,
pins, talks, hotels, rester ants, just everything. He was as busy as a one
handed paper hanger. He was all over the rally on his motorized skate board.

Dave Greenburg was a mainstay . He and Gary Miller ( with many others)
were there before the start of the Rally and worked the whole time. They
marked the parking slots and worked almost all day parking GMC rigs and
getting folks oriented. What a job! I did not get the final count but
there were over 140 coaches. They started arriving Friday and were still
coming in today (Friday).

Duane Simmons (mr. Onan) gave 2 or three talks on , first timers, Onan,
etc. He reported on the international and had tons of great info to share.

Mr.C and I gave a little Internet shot that I think will bring us some more
lurkers, jerkers, and smirkers on line soon. The non-GMCnet folks were
very impressed with the information we have available up here. There were
more than 250 people there and 70 of them were using email. Not all of
them were GMCnet folks, but I think they will be now.

Emery, Henry, Massey, and many more GMCnet folks were there sharing their
information and help. Mr. C pointed out at every talk to look for the
little red badges and ask the wearers for help.

Jim Bounds slid in on the foamed runway, at 6 in the morning after driving
30 straight hours to get there. He arrived with 6 or 8 sets of
windshields, a blower, and lots of misc. things to sell. Daren Paget was
there early and was showing his art in stainless and aluminum. I know all
of the windshields were sold and installed and I think Daren is going to do
well also.

Non-GMCnet vendors like Frank Jenkins and Alex Serim were there and some
one was selling new hatch covers.

The weather was excellent, sun and just right temps every day. The
balloons had some hard times getting off the ground because of wind, but
about 100 rally folks saw them lift off one day.

I had to leave Thr evening so this report is live and the rally is still
going on. Stay tuned for more from the other GMCnet folks as they get
home.

Great show, you should have been there. I picked up a lot of new ideas and
information, and I will put it up on the page as I get time. I will put up
some pictures tomorrow.

A great time, just got home midnight Sunday, & had to get on and thanks
everyone who made the rally such a success.

Nelson & I are very appreciative of everyones hospitality and would like to
get more involved with you "west coasters"! There are more new ideas and
excitement in the GMC's at this show than I've seen in a long time.

Gotta get some sleep, tomorrow is going to be a killer, again thanks for a
great time,

Jim Bounds

Jim... really enjoyed meeting you and Nelson. Glad you had a safe return. I
just got home and I will need a couple of days just to get my sanity back. If
anyone finds it, return it, I lost it at the roundup.

Y E A H ! ! ! !

It was a GREAT rally! We had an absolute BLAST !

I'm just now getting to email on the 8th. Working 12 hour days and got a
Classics rally to go to at Uvalde, Texas on Thursday. Might be a while
getting a post off and any pics posted but they're coming.

We're home safe and sound anyhow and trying to get caught up on the stuff
that got put off before the trip.
