wWe are contemplating taking a trip to alaska. NOT IN THE MOTORHOME. We do
not know the 1st thing about alaska. We would like to take a cruise ship,
where to go, outside,inside ???:

I know almost all GMCers are knowledgeable about many things. I want the
input from many and then I decide for myself of course. What time of the year
is best. I like to have your input.

We would be traveling from New Jersey. Fly to Vancouver I guess. Help,
Help,. Help.

I've read so much travel literature that my head is spinning. Thanks a
million to all GMCers.

You-re in luck.

There is perhaps not better one to ask the Fred and Sharon Hudspeth.

Fred retired from BP in Anchorage last year and moved, including his
GMC, to Tyler TX. As you see above, I have cc'd him so he can expect
your e-mail.

I myself, over the last ten years, have visited Alaska about six times
on business trips.

One thing I can tell you if change your mind an decide to take your
coach on a boat, you better make reservations way (6+ months) in advance
if you want a spot. The demand for space is greater than the
availability.

Fortunately, you can search the Web for water transportation services
and see their schedules, routes, prices, etc. One such site is
http://www.akcache.com/akhome.html.

If you subscribe to the GMCMM magazine, the last issue had a first hand
account by a Dr Frank, from NC, on his trip to Alaska last year.
