Today my son (the elect engr) came up to visit. Discussed the situation
about the GMC alarm system. After dinner (noon day meal in the South) we
looked at the system, he immediately took the key, turned it on, then turned
it off and then on again. The alarm was set. He opened the door and the
alarm sounded. The pin switch on the door must activate the alarm, the
teltale "door-ajar" light has never worked. He would not admit it but I am
sure he has seen a similar system before. Was too easy for him.
Thanks to all who was concerned about my dilemma.
