Air ride

I have a question about the air ride on these beast. Have read a few threads on this saying proper psi and different psi's people are using to get the
best ride. My confusion is that ,mine, automatically adjusts. Are you isolating the bags and manually adjusting? Do you use separate pumps and gauges
for each side? How do you compensate for leak down? Please enlighten me

If your coach has a operating air ride system then other than making sure that your right height on level ground is correct the coach should set correct the air pressure for load and road conditions. Please realize that there are a lot of coaches that have air systems that are totally manual air set for the air ride. You have the best of all world because you have a working system. All the coaches that we have own have had operating systems, 75 Avion with the dash valves, and the 77 Eleganza II and 78 Buskirk stretch coach had and have ElectroLevel 1 that worked and work great. You should not be worrying about what other people run because each coach is different depending on weight, load and road, yours will be different.

It is not supposed to leak. Best to repair your system.

Thom,

Now that you have gotten the good answers (If it is working, let it work) and you are wondering what to do about the leak down.
The best answer is find and fix the leak. That may take a while and so tracking.
But, in the mean time, stack some dimensional lumber under the bogie casting to she doesn't squat too much.

Put the system fix on your to-do list. It is a great system when it is right.

Mine was good for a very long time after I found a bad fitting. (The plastic ones used by GMC are junk.) Now, the system bleeds down, but she
doesn't squat. I'll find that next leak some day.

I can tell you what the pressure is in my quad bag system to achieve correct ride height only because one of the lines going across the underside
broke and I had to air it up to correct height. It took 87 lbs on the right side and 93 on the left. Since it was weighed at the Tallahassee rally I
know what it weighs on each tire so those numbers make sense. I have the bags shut off at the moment until the replacement lines get here from jimk.
When it was functioning correctly I ignore the pressure in the bags, it is whatever it needs to be to get the job done.

Sometimes a bunch of things fail at the same time. This was number three.
