Air / Fuel Gauge

Yes the gauge connects to the O2 sensor for the TBI. I think it will
settle down when everything gets hot and I am driving down the road. I
will test tomorrow and let you know.

I think this is a valuable tool. I am very worried that I do not run the
455 too lean. Lots of bad stuff happens when you do this and here is
finally a tool that will quantify what is going on and even let you adjust
the TBI .... or the carburetor.

No longer running blind

Hi All
The impression I have gotten from watching (read lurking) on the EFI mailing list is that the O2
sensors do swing around a lot as the EFI adjusts the pulse width of the injectors. An analog gauge
may not show the swings as bad as the electronic LED type. Westach sells an analog fuel ratio
gauge.

Jerry wrote it up and I posted it on my Howell page. He watched the gauge
and raised the pressure to the injectors until the computer was able to
keep it in the green. I talked to Howell about this and they said the same
thing. Give it a turn to the right to raise the pressure. Then drive it a
while and see if you need more. The computer corrects as much as it can
but if the pressure is too low would not get enough fuel.

I have not done this yet but I will soon.

I gave that a lot of thought, but I have a hard time when driving down the
road trying to rememeber what the readings should be on my analog meters.
I like the accuracy when I am testing, but when I am driving I even put
tape marks on my Digi-panel so I can just take a glance and know all is ok.

Thanks
