Air Filter for Onan 6000kw in GMC

I know that someone has made a filter from an auto parts store work by fitting a cover on the bottom and possibly lengthening (or shortening) the center rod.
Could you please let me know what filter you used for this?

I bought a filter from lowes that fit. I am not sure what it was for, so sort of tractor they sell. It is the same length and diamator just had to
drill a hole in the plastic end for the rod.

I have bought some stainless steel threaded rod, wing nuts and washers and hope to fit a off the shelf Napa filter to mine on Wednesday. I'll post
more details later it's done.
