Hi Ron and Julie,

I too would like to see these attachements since I am assembling the
parts and planning a similar modification.

"I have some schematics of the heater system and the blower
system electrical. I can email if anyone is interested since
Majordomo doesnt handle attachments. I could use some
advice on whether they will work before I hook them up."

Ron, no I haven't installed the A/C heater yet.I plan
to install (2) units, one under the Co-pilot's seat and
the other one further back in the coach. With a little
modification to the seat pedestal I think I can get
one to fit under there. I haven't talked to anyone
about cost yet.

Just finnished off the new rear ac/heat unit. Installed unit under
refrigerator and ran two vents up wall to just under gages. ran another
vent to back area behind bath cabnet and out above shelf area. Very
strong airflow even on low. Capacity of system is 17,000 Btu for ac,
not sure about heat. Put a 24x14 filter grill painted blace to cover
access area. installed filter there also. Coach cools quicker than with
roof unit and is much quiter. Also added electric fan to condenser in
front to help cool when moving slow. Will see how it does this summer.
Nice not to have to run generator to stay cool.
Cost about 170.00 to have new hoses made and tees installed to feed new
unit. Ran the lines paralell to hot water lines and brought them up in
wall and thr into space below refer. For heat I teed of the hot water
lines going to the hot water heater and hooked to new unit.
Cost of the ac/heat unit was 375.00
That is what I did.

Sounds like a nice install. I was going for under the couch next to the
furnace so I could tie in to existing ducts but your spot sounds nice. I
dont like bending down under the fridge to get to stuff , the kids might
trample me getting a soda, so it is basically wasted space. Did you keep
the vacuum. Julie said she wouldnt camp with me without it.....let me
think a while....

Just reread your post. I will be sure to point out to Julie the cost of
the ac/heater unit. She thought $25 was too much to spend at the junk
yard. Am glad to hear that it works quietly and efficiently.

Julie replied that she cant "put on the same attachments to the Dirt Devil as
the OEM vaccuum." She never seems to use it when I am around.......

This is Fairfield County, everything is more expensive. If you tried to put in
your two cents, they would hold out for three.

Jim, this sounds really good. If I may ask, where did you
obtain the extra AC/heater unit and what is the part
number? Sorry, I missed it if you've already posted that.
I really hate the noise from typical roof air units. And am
I on target to think your heater control on the dash
controls the heat for all units? Are you planning on
retaining the roof air units for when you're parked?

Thanks,
Steve
