air compressor

when my air compressor runs, it starts to make a scrething noise. is it the motor or the compressor mechanism?

Chris,
When mine did this, the motor pulley was slipping on the shaft. I used Loctite and tightened the two set screws
and the noise stopped. Good luck with yours.
