A few items from your friendly neighborhood list admin:
Subject Lines - This situation appears much better since my last "admin"
post, but a couple subscribers have reported "broken" threads, which
indicates a subtle change in the "Subject" header. Try to keep the
subject line identical unless you're "branching" the thread to a
different subject. Then it's permissible to change the header to more
properly reflect the new subject.
Quoting - Please be very selective when quoting in your response. It's
only necessary to quote a few pertinent lines. Digest subcribers have
been doing a better job of this too - Thanks!
Stay on Subject - This hasn't been a big problem, but a recent
"personal" post prompts me to remind everyone that this is a "technical"
list and we need to stay away from "personal" issues.
Please, please, please - If you ever receive a direct "admin" email from
me, do not be offended. I try to keep intervention to a minimum as it's
not my desire to micromanage this list. All "admin" posts are intended
to be constructive in an effort to keep the "signal to noise" ratio
high.
