Patrick,
I appreciate Your efforts and want to comply with Your wishes. Problem
is,
I haven't a clue what You are speaking of. I know HTML is a lauguage,
but
how this is leaving this machine is beyond me. Is there a simple way a
computer illiterate person can know?
Am Bamboozled!

Tim,

Email is a text only medium; no way to attach fancy formating codes to
make large type, bold face, italics etc. Software companies have
developed methods for achieving this formating using "multi-part"
messages. One method attaches HTML code(the same as used in web pages)
to provide the formating. Basically, it sends the message twice, once
in plain text and then in HTML as an attachment. The big problem with
HTML(and actually all email attachments) is with the digest version of
the list. Majordomo doesn't know the difference and passes every post
in its entirity along as plain text. The attachments appear garbled and
the digest is unnecessarily long(also it's a pain for me to edit out the
garbage for the monthly archive).

Your posts are fine, so there no need for you to be concerned. Usually,
whenever someone sends an HTML post, I send them a private reminder.
Not to worry if you receive one. They're not fatal.

Thanks!
Patrick
