Adding 2 6V bttrys up front

Just an after thought, Jeff. 2 6V batteries are pretty heavy, I guess
about 130-140 Lbs with a strong enough shelf. I would be careful about
any additional weight on the front since you are adding weight to the
front driver's side as well. This could affect tire wear and steering.

When I bought my coach it had two 12V batteries in the
front and 1 12V battery in with the Genset. One of the
12V batterys in the front was large for the Living
area and the second was for the engine. I unbolted the
rotted tray, enlarged it slightly and was able to put
2 6V deep cycle and one 12V engine battery in the
front on the passeger side. It is a bit tight but it
works. weight? I don't know, it does not seem to make
a difference. The Better half is quite petite and
usually sits on that side, I guess if she gains a
bunch of weight I should worry?

it that I can see.

That is good news. I thought about having Frank Jenkins make a new front
bumper box to hold 4 golf cart batteries but I was concerned about the
weight plus the golf carts are bit tall.

I have had my coach weighed by individual wheels and I am somewhat
marginal on the front axel.

Manny,
I'm a little confused about what you said here. You have 2 6v
batteries and a house battery? Do you also have a starting battery
for a total of 3 banks? Gee, that seems like a lot of weight.
If I did that my petite wife would have to drop under 100 lbs to
keep from overloading the coach. I of course don't need to
lose any weight ;-)
