I used the marine pump, I mounted it in the genset compartment as the stated
lift on the suction side is something like 8'. I made my own adapter using a
barbed nipple and a 3" cap. I removed the threads from the (PVC not
nylon)nipple and bored a snug hole off center in the 3" cap then glued it. So
far it's holding fine. I tend to cheat (full machine shop available)
