Actually I believe it goes back to morse code days, saving dits & dots
being transmitted. :-)

Erv - in case you haven't noticed I never use the abbreviations in my
messages and most other people don't either. I was just having some
fun with Arch and others. We've got to add some levity at times to
our lives.
