Saggy Ceiling
This last week has been an experiment week.
Started with our original saggy ceiling. Can't replace right now so decided
to experiment. Bought some Border Adhesive for Vinyl borders.
Made by Bondex bought at Wal-Mart pre mixed in Turquoise qt. container .
Used a large syringe with size 16 needle sucked up paste into syringe put on
needle and poked needle into ceiling material on an angle and injected paste
at various spots continued to do this at about 1 inch intervals then used a
piece of wax paper put over ceiling used small roller rolled in all
directions to distribute paste. Paste will ooze out of small pin holes
lightly wipe with damp cloth not pushing hard let set then wipe again. At
curve on ceiling sidewalls use straight pins to hold in sticking in at
angle. After almost dry remove pins to clean then replace pins until dry.
Really doesn't look to bad at least better than a Saggy Ceiling. Arms get
tired so takes awhile to get done. Now to see how long it will last. Looks
well attached.
Fender Well Liners
The screws with clips had pulled out of the liners along the edge. I tried
melting milk cartons Doesn't Work. So got out the trusty Quick Steel Epoxy
Putty (Wal-Mart) the kind that comes in a tube that you knead to mix. Sanded
to rough up both sides filled hole and a little beyond let set for an hour
then sanded so that clip will fit over. Haven't drilled yet as I need help
to hold in place to match existing holes in MH. One area along edge was
twisted out of shape so got out iron put material over liner and heated up
area, nice and flat now.
Didn't want to drill new holes in MH so decided to see if this works. So far
so good . Seems to be sticking well. Will let you know the outcome after the
trip to Mt. Hood, Or.
