Hello everyone!

As the new owner of a '74 26' Sequoia, I thought I would pop out of the
woodwork and HI!

Bit 'O Background......

I am Chuck Esh, from Georgetown, TX 1 wife, 1 1/2 kids (!October!) 2 cats,
2 dogs, and ..... (bored yet?) and still a working stiff, 24 years until
65!, well, at least I am over 40. Been reading the digest version since
July, 1998.

The Coach.....

1974 Sequoia, original condition, 54k miles, 10 year old "D" tires, 26-9
floor plan, interesting interior color scheme, pink and tan. Overall, the
coach is in pretty good shape. Outside has no dents, etc, all parts are
there, and almost everything works. Run goods, rides nice. The interior is
ok, but every piece of plastic is disintegrating, you just look at one of
the light fixtures and it crumbles into dust.

The plan is to restore and customize the coach over the next 3 to 5 years.
First will be tires. Right now it is at a storage place 50 miles from home,
and don't plan on moving very far until them "D"s are gone! They are very
weather checked on the sidewalls. Fortunately, the storage place has covered
RV slots and it is in one of them.

I am sure as I dig into the coach, I will have a billion questions for
everyone.

Oh, and I did send Dave G. my TZE! :)

Later!

Congratulations Chuck!

Welcome as a owner of the finest motor home out there. I too was a lurker

welcome chuck... glad someone has to work to keep paying taxes so I can keep
getting my checks so I can keep spending it on the coach... oh well... congrats
and welcome. Look forward to seeing your fine coach (as it will be fine when
you finish) at one of the roundups/rallys.

Mike,

Not at all!

Carol has already reworked the interior about 6 times in the 2 days we have
owned it.

Gee, can you guess who is planning out the "House" part and who is doing the
"Truck" part? :) The cockpit should look like a 747 when I am done. yea,
right.....

Dave,

Don't worry, those ancient tires will be gone before I bring the coach home.
That is why it is still where I bought it. Of course it helps that it is a
RV storage lot, and they let me rent for a month or so. ;)

And, with the web page to register, it was so simple, I had it done in no
time at all. Besides, glad to have added to the count!

But, Chuck, I think the 1st thing you should do is get rid of those 10
year old tires.

Chuck...

Sounds reasonable to me!! And of course now you will probably want to
enlarge your workshop and buy more tools....mmmm...?

BTW, we are not going to be far from you....in Elgin, Tx. Currently in the
process of building our retirement house in the Arbors on Hwy 95. I think
if I were to really measure it, Tom's RV Garage/Workshop will have more
square feet than our house!! (For our third child, don't you know, that
GMC....)

Best of luck on your project!

Dave, you forgot to tell Chuck to fill his new tires with synthetic ATF
too. Great lubrication and gets rid of the psi issue for tires once and for
all. It might even help to balance the tires on the highway. LOL
