A/C hoses - problem fixed --thanks

Thanks for all the good advise about my A/C hoses.

Too my surprise the ends of EACH hose was cut off - cleaned and
Aluminum Welded (with a brazing torch and fine alum welding wire and
flux) to an alum barbed sleeve - the sleeves , along with new hose
collars, were then crimped to new rubber hose. The crimping device was
mounted in a vice and the adjustable jaws were selected according to
hose size. The technician then applied an air ratchet to the device --
poof.. all done.

The shop used the new barrier style hoses for the new sections on
discharge and suction. This will made it easier to switch to other
than R12 refrigerants in the future.

Total cost for the remanufactured A/C hoses $68.
