Hi,
I'm thinking of trying to get my A/C system functional again but my condenser has a few leaks. Is there an alternative to an exact replacement that
I might find online or at the Men's Mall? Maybe some extra fittings would be needed, but I'm guessing that would be a lot less than the cost of a new
Toronado unit.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

When I needed one a few years back, I found it on EBay. It was a good fit and while not a men's mall price, it was good.

We carry the exact new units.
Problem with a old one sitting around uncapped is the contamination that
sometimes not able to extract and never know leaks.

Anyone change the condenser to a larger unit?

1977 Kingsley 455 as stock as it gets except lots of Ragusa parts

Why do you think you need a larger condenser? I haven’t heard of anyone putting in a larger one.
I haven’t seen any need for a larger one. I added a second evaporator (18000 btu),
Much larger than the OEM and it is in parallel with the original evaporator and my condenser is adequate to handle both evaporators.
