Also says it qualifies for vehicle purchase protection EXCEPT they will not cover vehicles over 10 years old.

Did Coachman put skylight vents over the driver and passenger on the 78s or are those DIY? The one over the passenger looks similar to the rear
original one in my Birch.

Can't say I've ever needed more sunlight in the front of a GMC, but the airflow might be nice.

This is the first one I've seen with vents like that.

Could you drive with the vents open? If not I do not see a good reason to
have them

Why not, we drove our pace arrow when I was a kid with the vents open.

My 78 Royale has a reversible hooded vent that has louvers on the inside of
the coach. They don't do a very good job of blocking the cool air at night,
so I had a snap on cover made for cold weather. But, in warm weather, it is
open all the time. When it is hot and we are under way, it cross ventilates
really well. It is located in the 14" square opening that sometimes has the
rear a/c in it. We here in Oregon find that MOST OF THE TIME, we don't need
2 roof airs.

This is the information that I received from Shot's on the Legacy coach owners.

I have it in the listings as "RV World, Marvin Baker", in Ft Worth, TX. Original owner was Richard L Renfrow, Thousand Oaks, CA from Feb 78 to ??. After Renfrow, it was owned by Frank & Betty Van Acker, Rancho Palos Verde, CA. No dates of ownership.

The vents with only one arm is not desirable to drive full up.
Max Air units we sell have two arms and they back it up should the top
breaks.
I have noticed that lot depends on the location of the vent and if thre is
no big turbulnce, it will not damage the top.
Also keep in mind the age of the top as plastic being exposed to sun will
oxidize and get brittle. Notice the newer units claim that their unit is
better protected.
I was in a siminar where I address that , and they did ot give me a very
good answer.
Yes, I spend time and money attending supplier seminars and also give them
feedback.
I will be taking one of our techs to the Blue Ox traing next month in
Nebraska.

The Fantastic Vent instructions say if you are going to drive with the vent open to make sure it is open all the way. I have done 80 mph in my
Sprinter while open with no problems.
