'77 Royale deal

I checked around and found out that to do a complete overhaul of the 455
would be around $2k +/- $500.

That's with me delivering and picking up the built engine. I figured in
complete valve job with new parts including stainless valves, new cam and
lifters, bore cylinders and replace pistons, turn crankshaft, balance
rotating body, new roller timing chain, new high volume oil pump, port
match upon reassembly. Hopefully I'd have enough money left over to
install an Edelbock intake manifold and carbeurator.

Anyhow, with it being this expensive and me having to pull and replace the
engine, I decided that I'd go ahead and buy the GMC if the owner would
discount it $3k. I offered it to him this afternoon and he said that he'd
think about it. He and his wife are leaving for a couple week trip in the
morning so I guess my GMC project is on hold for a while.

Maybe in the meantime I"ll find a better deal on a better looking coach.

Is that using all the "GOOD" stuff. Using all the "TRICKS" to make the 455
work right. Line Boering. Oil restrictors, etc. CHUCK If so Then that is a
really good price. The going price to remove and install is 1500.00 in
California
