Hi Folks
We just got "Roxie" a few months ago, drove her home just before xmas after she hadn't gone down the road under her own power in quite a few years. From what we've found out a company named Sheridan renovated her about 25 years ago, she did a few trips and then has mostly sat unused.

I've already worked on a few things, still have a way to go before she's ready to go. I've also already joined the Heritage Cruisers and met a few other GMC'ers online. We've never RV'ed before.

My wife and I want to explore as much as we can with her and also use her as a guest cottage at our own lakeside cottage. We have a pair of Shelties, named Betelgeuse and Bellatrix, they are St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs. We spoil them terribly and they will be going everywhere with us.

Burl,
What "model" it was hardly matters at this point. You do need to look at the VIN and figure out if it was a GM upfit or other. That really only matters so you can download the correct schematics for Chassis, House and 120VAC.
Most of all, go places and enjoy her. If you take care of her, she will take care of you (and the dogs).

From what we can figure out, it isn't a Transmode, but haven't figured out what she originally was as the glovebox sticker is missing.
I've looked at the online schematics and they are mostly vague representations of what she used to be wired like.
Right now I'm focusing on getting an Ontario safety inspection done on her so must fix the necessary stuff first. I've already got the lights all working, a new charger/converter installed and a breaker and switch to it added. That's the easy stuff though.

Burl,
My 1977 Ex Palm Beach was also renovated and painted at Sheridan's in the mid '90s. The Hunter Green and Dusty Rose stripes still look good together.

Nice coach. You are Sheltie people too? We had the world's greatest dog ;-) , a Sheltie named Sheppy, who lived to be 15. Used to joke that our three kids (boy/girl/boy) were his littermates. Anyway, we are currently dog-less empty nesters almost to retirement. Have seriously discussed getting another Sheltie when Mama retires.

Your coach does look 90's, but very tasteful (IMO). I agree about using it for a year before major changes. Ours is a 1978 Eleganza II that had been cared for but was mostly original. So, we are doing a restomod - keep the basic 70's gold/brown, but update & modernize. We are also new to RVing. I was advised by a co-worker to look into the GMC, after seeing the owner support groups, original build quality (especially compared to new RV's), and parts availability, decided upon the GMC. This is a great resource.

Regards,
Pete P.

Burt, your coach is definitely a GMC finished coach. I believe I see a Power Level insignia. Is that true or is it an Electro Level? Electro Level is reported to start with VIN 166V100878, so just double checking.

Also, what color is the firewall?

Here's a few photos. As you can see it's still very '90s inside. Some of it will stay, some will eventually go. My wife is already talking about colour themes and patterns, I'm thinking about brakes and wheel bearings and leaving that stuff to her.

Are you thinking about installing zerk fittings on the front knuckles? That's on my to-do list this summer.
