You are in the right place.
Welcome to the group, family, cult, asylum.....
We will all be at a loss. You seem to be describing a suspension that we would call Electro-Level 2. A 76 Birch should be Electro-Level (1). As OE,
there is no schrader anyplace, but many do add such. At the airspring (bag) feed they add a T, a valve and a schrader. You can do this on your own
or buy a kit from Applied GMC.
If it is an EL2 and you need a new airpump, hang on. Those were a Cadillac part and they are very proud of them.....
There is a world of technical stuff that can be downloaded at GMCMI.COM. If you have not looked there, start now.
You will get a lot of value out of this group, but we need your help. It looks like you are working the Forum, so go up to . Scroll down, if you see but there isn't much, click on the PLUS. Now scroll down to the Signature Box.. Please fill that in
with your real name (we like to know who you are when we are helping your or we meet), a short about the coach including major mods (some, like EL2,
might matter a lot) and a geographic reference. By arriving here, you just collected a huge number of old friends and one might be close enough to
help.
Birchhavens were TZE chassis 23' that were fitout by Coachmen. As such, the documentation is often sketchy. We have several owners here that will
know much more about this than I do. One should be along any moment now. Be patient.
One more thing, your Birchaven is more than just a big new toy. Being a GMC owner connects you to a community that is just full of people that are
eager to see that you get to enjoy your coach as much as we know you can. They are massively helping and supportive people. It is a truly awesome
thing. I am going to refrain for stories right now, but you will get to hear some I am sure. The only other community that I know of that is this
supportive is that of the watermen that are my world. For that reason, I like to welcome a new owner here much as one might be there. So,
May the Good Lord bless this coach and all those that set forth within her.
