I thought that I would sign up for the FMCA Roadside Assistance today. I started to fill out the online form and was stopped at the "primary covered
vehicle(RV) VIN" form field. After entering my 12 character TZE number, I couldn't continue because it requires at least 17 characters. When I get
home I suppose I will call FMCA and wait on hold for a while to see if I can continue.

Johnny, how did you get by that field?

Truth be told, I don't remember... probably put a bunch of spaces or zeros in front. My concern was, the computer stopped (Thanks, AT&T) right after
PayPal paid them. I researched and found the money got sent so I emaile FMCA about it. They called back and said they'd get me the information.
Hasn't appeared yet.

I called FMCA and got right through to Erin. He said there was no age limit, but that you have to "properly maintain" the coach as there could be
issues with repeated claims. No problem for me on that count.

Also, he asked several people FMCA about handling the required number of characters. They say to pad the VIN number with zeros right before the
actual number. I did that and was able make payment and got a contract (PDF file)right after confirmation.

So now I have 3 Roadside Assistance plans for the GMC.

This from the contract:

"Emergency Roadside Assistance is available on a "sign & drive" basis throughout the United States and Canada, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year....

Towing: to the nearest qualified repair center; Jump Starts; Tire Changes: with your inflated spare; Vehicle Fluid Delivery: you are responsible for
cost of fuel/fluids....

Winch-out service benefits apply as long as the RV can be safely reached from an established, maintained road, thoroughfare, paved street, highway,
public or private parking lot. Winch-out coverage applies when member is attending FMCA events/rallies. Winch-out service benefits do not apply if the
RV is more than 50 feet from an established, maintained road or thoroughfare, ......"
