My wife, Lorraine, who does Facebook says she saw a posting by a Kerry
Liliedahl, who is currently at Quartzite, saying that he has 65 gallon
'waste' and 60 gallon fresh water tanks in his GMC..
Where would he have gotten tanks that size?
Has anyone seen his coach?

Tks

Life is too short to hold a grudge; slash some tires and call it even !

Mike,

The bottom of 40 gallon black tank in the Avion is slightly recessed above the frame; I reckon in order to gain 25 gallons a black
tank would have to extend below the frame and I don't think that wood be a good idea.

He is a she. Her father built a completely custom interior. She and two
other single women GMCers are camping together at Quartzite right now.
They got grit!
I haven't seen the coach except the photos. It is quite an ingenious
layout. Here is the post Loraine is referring to:
"Bottom pic is bath expanded..toilet slides under adjacent dinette seat,
shower curtain reverses out (wet side in when done) and voila, an almost
dry bath. Toilet and shower pan empty with a macerator..two different
valves. Subfloor raised 3" to accommodate a secondary 35 gallon waste tank.
So 65 mixed grey and black and 60 of fresh.'

The bathroom is right aft of the dinette which is aft of the drivers seat.

A sliding toilet sounds like a bad idea to me

One of the most innovative of the old-time GMCers, Elam Fayard, extensively
modified his coach (I think it's the one Kim & Keith have now) with an
electrically powered sliding toilet (under the pass. side rear bed), a
collapsing shower (just behind the entry door), a "rise out of the cabinet"
TV (in the hall beside the collapsing shower), a drop-down bath lavatory
(beside closet containing the heated towel rack), and MANY more. I think
Bob Drewes eliminated most, if not all, of those after Elam passed away &
Bob bought the coach. Tom Whitton has another of Elam's custom coaches
(not, the one describe above 'tho', I don't think).
