Where can I find a 6 wheel alignment in the Detroit area. I live in
Westland. I rebuilt my front end with nothing more than hand tools. The only
challenge was the torsion bars, which I used a u-joint C-clamp on to r&r. I
also replaced all my wheel bearings, wheel cyls shoes/pads and flushed the
brake fluid. There is a Fed study of accidents caused by bad brake fluid.
Better change yours if not already done. Now I'm ready for alignment.

Thanks for your suggestions, I'm not willing to drive 150 miles for an
alignment on my new Bridgestones. I'll try a local truck shop.

Gene:

Are you talking about a handout? If I'm not mistaken, the string
alignment technique was given in a seminar at the last two GMCMI Rallies
by C O Richardson and Jean Henderson.

Does anyone know where the article was printed that described the
"string 6 wheel alignment"? Was several years ago and I read about it
but I am not near my manuals now.

Jim Green;
Two suggestions for a 6-Wheel Allignment on your GMC:
1) Call Ivan Henderson, Service Manager for the Cinnabar
Engineering, Inc.
They are a authorized GMC MH repair & service company
located just
north of you in Sandusky, MIchigan. His Phone # is
(810) 648-2444
OR
2) Call Max Purdy, Service Manager for Buskirk-Roush. They too,
service & repair only GMC Motor Homes. They are also located in
Sandusky, MI
..
His Phone # is 1 (800) 715-1133.
The route to either company-Just take route 19 north to
Sandusky,
Then go East on route 46 about 1/4 Mile and they are
both located
about
1 block south (right).
Good Hunting,
Don Martin
