Called Buskirk about the 502. I was told they were working on one. Will
drive up next week to have a look.
Did not receive all of volume 03; number194. Did I miss any 502 info?

The wife and I drove up to Sandusky Mi. Wednesday to visit Cinnabar and
Buskirk-Rush. Both are first class GMC opperations, and the people we
met couldn't of been nicer or more informative. Our first stop was at
Cinnabar where Ivan and Eric gave us a tour of the the shop. The work
being done on the GMCS
in the shop was awesome.
Next we stopped in at Buskirk-Rush to see the 502 engine swap. This is
a well thought out project with many custom made parts. I know that when
they are finished with this swap, it will look like a factory
installation. I want to thank Scott for showing us around and answering
all of our questions. As much as I would like to have a 502 in our GMC,
after seeing the amount of time and work that went into this swap, I
think I will stay with the OLDS 455. We also got to see the stretch GMC
they are working on, plus some of the in progress work.
When we returned home the shop that was checking out the block called
and said the cylinders couldn't be cleaned up since it was already 60
over to start with. Since the crank, two rods and one piston are are
also shot I am going to start with a clean sheet of paper to build or
buy a new motor. Any ideas or thoughts on the ideal engine ( cam, heads,
induction, ignition, etc.) would be most helpful.
THANKS
