I understand Buskirk's installs 454's using an adapter behind the motor and
a modified pan. Considering the much newer technology available for the
much more plentifull 454 (Vortec, FI, RV cams, etc), I'm surprised more
folks haven't gone this route. Is it because Buskirk's plate and pan are
some "patented engineering marvels" that he won't sell separately?
Our 455 has passed the 100K mark and, while it seems strong now, I think
I'd like an available option for when it decides it's hauled around our
12,000 pound beauty long enough.
What am I missing here?
