Greetings All,

Is a 70's era 455 engine the same for all cars used by GM? I believe the
Cutlass used a 455. Would it bolt onto a GMC
motorhome? What other GM cars used 455 besides the Toronado?

Thanks.

all olds 455 engines will work although some have more nickel in the blocks
that others.
The GMC motorhome block is one of the best they made and the next are the
marine blocks

Another that used the 455 was my 1973 Buick Centurion convertible.
Oooh, baby, what a ride that was. :^) Come to think of it, driving
that land yacht was very similar to driving the GMCMH. ;-]

Yes but the Buick, while also a 455 cubic inch displacement, was not even
remotely the same engine as the Olds 455.

Travis (I too had a 73 Buick 455 once---a Riviera)

My buddy had a Centurion convertible. It was one of the nicest looking
beasts around in my mind. I had to settle for a Firebird Formula 400 and
blow his doors off....He did, however, usually get the girls.
Thanks for the memories.
