455 Carburetor

Does anyone know of a conversion kit or source of rods and jets that will
allow conversion of a 455 car 4MC carb to 455 motorhome use. Would prefer
to do the work rather than have someone else do the conversion if possible.

First buy Doug Roe's book "Rochester Carburetors"(available from
amazon.com). Doug also stocks the jets and metering rods, so you can
buy them from him. Also, there was an article by Joe Mondelo in a
recent GMCMM which detailed jetting changes to make our 25 year old
carbs more compatible with today's fuels.

Al,

Check with Cinnabar. Their phone number is: (800) 720-2227. Last
time I checked with them, they were trying to get all the motorhome
specific jets and metering rods reproduced. Don't forget about your
power valve spring and metering rod hangers. They may be motorhome
specific also.
