Here's my .02 worth. I have a 78 Kingsley that we purchased new. It has
the original 403 engine and the distributor is located at the rear. The
Olds engines locate their distributors at the rear, Buick's are located
at the front.
1978 GMC motorhomes came with the 403 engine, not the 455. The switch
was made in late production 1977 model year.
