'77 Kingsley, VIN says 403,
engine code says 403, and 403 parts fit, but...
{snip}
>the distributor is in
> the front instead of the back,
Mine's in the back.
>air conditioning compressor is
> mounted on the
> intake manifold,
Mine's mounted on the right head.
Were there different 403's?
Buicks had front mount distributors, but Olds? I've been buying and using
403 parts for 5 years, and this description doesn't fit my engine at all.
But then... my coach also has a light on the dash that says "set travel
level to auto".
Some sort of weird freaky production snafu? Maybe it went down the line in
Pontiac backwards.
The engine is supposed to be in the back, right, and you steer with the
in-line dual front wheels like an armored personnel carrier, right???
