If you go to the 3.21 gear the axel is smaller in diameter than the
3.07. We have this on our GMC with no problem. The only thing to watch
is the R/H axel seal will no longer be a GMC part number because the
seal surface OD. on the axel is smaller. The seal will have to come from
the donor car or a sleeve must be pressed on the new axel shaft. Been
there done that.
