2 way frig: 12 volt and 120 volt

works great off of shore and 12 volt but not when gen(6kw onan)is
running. all outlets in coach are at 115 v with onan running at full
load including water heater and both a/c units. in addition, if i'm
traveling and am using the onan to run the roof a/c the frig starts
getting warmer; cut the onan off and the the frig starts to get cold
again. this has me baffled and befuddled.... HELP!!!!!!

The manual for my two-way says that the compressors (there's two smaller units)
always run on 12 volts. There's a 110 to 12 v dc converter bult in. It's
possible, if yours is like mine, that the built in converter isn't working
right. If so, the fridge could work well on 12 v, but get no power through the
converter from the 110 v ac from your Onan.

Just a thought.

By the way, our fridge worked like a champ on both 12 v and 110 during a trip to
Florida earlier this year. Kept ice and food - no problem.
